From 1995-2004 BPD shot and Killed 16 People. All Victims were Black, Latino and Cape Verdean.

Locked Up and Innocent Wrongful Convictions in Massachusetts
In 20 yrs., 22 Innocent men, mostly Black, served time after wrongful convictions. Since 1997, 9 Innocent Black Men have been freed after serving from 4-30 yrs. Suffolk County, MA is 2nd in the US for wrongful convictions.

Lady Justice CORI (Criminal Offender Record Information) refers to the laws relating to criminal records in Mass. The CORI laws were so expanded during the 'tough on crime' yrs. that now many people have been kept from: Employment, Housing, Loans, Insurance, College & Guardian/Foster Parent Eligibility.

Spaulding Josiah A. Spaulding III, neo-nazi skinhead son of Wang Center Director Josiah A. Spaulding Jr. savagely attacked 3 Teen Black Girls in Downtown Boston.

* Latinos are 6.8% of the population, 26.2% of incarcerated adults
* Blacks and Latinos are 12.2% of the population, but Only 5% of state senators and representatives and 0% of congressmen are Black or Latino
BOSTON FACTS
* 86% of white students graduate high school while only 76% of blacks and 55% of Latinos do.
* The Unemployment rate for Black men is 42%.
